This installation, conceived and exhibited in my studio during a Vermont Studio Center residency, draws from my experience rafting down the Canning River in Alaska. The Canning River is the western border of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR). The debate for oil drilling and exploration within the refuge has been a core concern within Alaskan politics for more than a decade. “Drill, Baby, Drill” distills my personal experience along this border.
